Emmanuel Kofi Sackey is an accomplished legal professional with over three decades of
experience in legal practice, corporate governance, and public sector management.
He was called to the Ghana Bar in 1990 after successfully passing out of the Ghana Law School.
Following his National Service with the Ghana Legal Aid Scheme, he went into private legal
practice in Kumasi, where he gained valuable exposure and honed his legal expertise.
In 1994, he joined the Ghana Highway Authority as a Legal Officer, a position he held until
July 1996. He later transitioned to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT),
where he built a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades.
At SSNIT, Mr. Sackey served in various capacities including:
- Legal Officer
- Prosecutions Manager
- Procurement Manager
- Manager at the Office of the General Manager, Legal
- Legal Services Manager
He retired from SSNIT in July 2023, having contributed significantly to the institution’s legal,
compliance, and governance frameworks.
Beyond his work at SSNIT, Mr. Sackey held key governance roles in the private sector. He
served as Company Secretary for Busua Beach Resort and MMC Facilities Management
Company Ltd, and was later appointed Director of MMC Facilities Management Co. Ltd
from 2010 to 2017.

integrity, and commitment to excellence in both public and private sector legal practice.
