Effective date: 24 August 2026 | Version 1.0
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at phrglobal.com and any application, registration, nomination, programme, examination, training or service offered by HR Certification Centre (“HRCC”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Please read them before submitting any form.
By ticking the agreement box on any of our forms, or by using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not submit the form or use the service.
1. Definitions
- Applicant means a person who submits an application for any programme.
- Participant means a person admitted to and enrolled on a programme.
- Programme means any certification preparation course, training, masterclass, mentorship, consultancy service or event we offer.
- Awarding body means an independent third party that owns and administers a certification, such as HRCI for the aPHRi, PHRi and SPHRi credentials.
- Platform means our website, learning management system, dashboards and related online services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. Programmes carry their own entry requirements covering education and work experience, which are published on the relevant programme page and applied when we assess your application.
You agree that all information you give us is true, accurate, current and complete, and that you will keep it up to date. Submitting false, misleading or incomplete information may result in your application being rejected, or your enrolment or certification being withdrawn, without refund.
3. Applications and admission
Submitting an application does not create a contract and does not guarantee admission. We assess each application against the published entry requirements and reserve the right to accept or decline any application at our discretion.
Where an application is accepted, we will issue a registration link or access code. These are personal to you, must not be shared, and may expire. Your place is confirmed only once registration is complete and any required payment has been received.
We may postpone, reschedule, merge or cancel a cohort, or change a delivery mode, venue, timetable or facilitator, where reasonably necessary. We will tell you as soon as we can if this happens.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are stated in Ghana Cedis (GHS) unless we say otherwise, and are payable in full unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed. Fees may exclude examination fees, membership fees, third-party charges and taxes, which are payable separately unless expressly stated.
Online payments are handled by third-party payment providers. We do not collect or store your full card details. Bank charges, transfer fees and currency conversion costs are your responsibility.
We may withhold access to materials, sessions, examinations, results, certificates or the Platform where fees are outstanding.
5. Refunds, deferrals and cancellations
Requests to withdraw, defer or transfer must be made in writing to the contact address below. Refunds are considered case by case and are not automatic.
- Amounts already paid to an awarding body or other third party on your behalf, including examination and membership fees, are generally non-refundable once paid.
- Administrative and onboarding costs already incurred may be deducted from any refund.
- Where we cancel a programme outright and cannot offer a reasonable alternative or deferral, we will refund the fees you paid us for that programme.
Non-attendance does not entitle you to a refund. Deferral to a later cohort is at our discretion and may attract a fee.
6. Examinations and certification
Our programmes prepare you for certification. Certifications such as aPHRi, PHRi and SPHRi are owned, awarded and administered by the relevant awarding body, not by HRCC.
You are responsible for meeting the awarding body’s own eligibility criteria, application process, deadlines and fees, and for complying with its rules. We do not control and cannot guarantee examination scheduling, results, recertification or any outcome of your application to an awarding body. Completing our programme does not guarantee that you will pass an examination or be certified.
Certificates of attendance or completion that we issue confirm participation in our programme only.
7. Conduct and academic integrity
You agree to behave professionally and respectfully towards facilitators, staff and other participants, and to follow reasonable instructions and venue rules.
Cheating, impersonation, plagiarism, sharing examination or assessment content, and sharing your account or access code are prohibited. We may suspend or remove you from a programme, void an assessment, withhold a certificate, and report the matter to an awarding body or employer where we consider it appropriate. No refund is due where we act on these grounds.
8. Course materials and intellectual property
All content on the Platform and in our programmes, including slides, workbooks, question banks, mock examinations, recordings, templates and branding, is owned by HRCC or its licensors and is protected by law.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own learning for as long as you are enrolled. You must not copy, record, resell, republish, distribute, upload to file-sharing services or use our materials to train or run a competing programme. Trademarks belonging to awarding bodies remain the property of those bodies.
9. Acceptable use of the Platform
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, interfere with its operation, upload malicious code, scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful. Your account and access codes are personal to you and you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity carried out under your account.
Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
10. Personal data
We collect and process the personal data you give us so that we can assess your application, deliver your programme, administer examinations and certification, take payment, meet our legal obligations and communicate with you about your enrolment. We process it in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana and our Privacy Policy.
Where necessary for the above purposes we may share your data with awarding bodies, examination providers, payment providers and our service providers. We keep it only as long as we need it.
You have rights over your personal data, including rights of access and correction. To exercise them, contact us using the details below.
11. Communications
By submitting a form you agree that we may contact you by email, telephone, SMS or WhatsApp about your application, registration, programme, examinations and account. These are service messages and are necessary for us to deliver what you asked for.
We will only send you marketing messages where you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out of marketing at any time without affecting service messages.
12. Awards and nominations
Where you submit a nomination, you confirm that you are entitled to submit the information provided, that it is accurate, and that you have the consent of any person or organisation you name.
Nominations do not guarantee shortlisting or an award. Judging decisions and eligibility decisions are final. We may publish the names of nominees, finalists and winners, together with any organisation named, in connection with the awards. We may disqualify a nomination that is inaccurate, misleading or improperly submitted.
13. Third-party services and links
The Platform may link to or rely on third-party sites and services, including payment providers, awarding bodies and video conferencing tools. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies will apply to your use of them.
14. Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep the Platform available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free. We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades or reasons beyond our control.
Our content is provided for professional education. It is not legal, financial or professional advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for advice about your own circumstances. Except as these Terms expressly state, and to the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and representations, whether express or implied.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, income, business, goodwill, data, anticipated savings, or for any failure to pass an examination, obtain a certification, secure employment or achieve any career outcome.
Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms, any programme or your use of the Platform is limited to the total fees you actually paid to us for the programme giving rise to the claim.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against reasonable claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform or our materials, or from information you submit that is false or that infringes the rights of another person.
17. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to a programme or the Platform where you breach these Terms, where fees are outstanding, or where we are required to do so by law. You may withdraw at any time, subject to the refund terms above.
Clauses that by their nature should survive termination, including those on intellectual property, liability and governing law, will continue to apply.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, and we will update the effective date and version number when we change it. Material changes will apply from the date we publish them. Continuing to use our services after that means you accept the updated Terms.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction. We ask that you raise any complaint with us first so that we have the opportunity to resolve it.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the Terms continue to apply.
