National HR Mentorship Programme Graduates 100 Mentees in 16th Cohort

The HR Certification Centre has graduated 100 mentees from the 16th cohort of the National HR Mentorship Programme. The cohort started with 553 applicants, of whom 395 were selected, and 139 went on to enrol. The graduates came from a mix of industries, including banking, manufacturing, technology, and education.
Sophia Gogo, the Mentorship Coordinator, hosted the virtual graduation ceremony. She welcomed the mentees and the wider audience, and set the tone for a session built around the mentees’ progress through the programme.
Helena Naa Dodua Dodoo-Ankrah, SPHRi, who facilitated the cohort’s final session, spoke on positioning HR as a strategic partner within organisations. Her talk pushed back against the idea of HR as a purely administrative function, framing it instead as a department that should sit at the table where business decisions get made, not just implement them after the fact.
Ann-Bertha Adjartey, the Training and Admin Manager, closed the session with remarks reflecting on the cohort’s journey from application to graduation, and on what the drop from 553 applicants to 100 graduates says about the commitment it takes to finish the programme.
The best mentee for this cohort is yet to be announced. Stay tuned!
